Surf Check: Monday Morning Light
A quiet start to the week. The swell looks clean from the south, but it’s a good reminder that on a coastline this long, today's conditions are just one story out of thousands.
Surf Check. The light is still soft, and the wind is just starting to shift offshore. Down here, the swell is coming in clean and organized—a good morning to be out.
Standing here, it’s easy to get lost in the local rhythm of the waves. But it's also wild to remember that this is just one moment on Brazil's 9,000-kilometer coastline. While it’s calm here, somewhere else along that massive stretch, from the warm equatorial north down to the temperate south, the story of the ocean is completely different today.
It’s a good reminder to stay observant. To read the water right in front of you, and appreciate it for what it is. Time to paddle out.
